PLANET VC-2400MR Series is a 24-Port VDSL2 Managed CO Switch (Central Office) perfectly for the networking applications of Telecom, ISP (Internet Service Provider), SI (System Integration), IP Surveillance provider and etc. It is based on two core networking technologies, Ethernet and VDSL2 (Very-high-data-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2). By co-working with PLANET developed VDSL2 CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) – the VC-23x series CPE, it offers the absolutely fastest data transmission speeds over existing copper telephone lines, which provides the ideal solution in the last mile.

Each VDSL2 interface of the VC-2400MR Series provides two copper phone ports, one for VDSL2 connection and the other one for POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) connection. To share the existing phone line with POTS, the VC-2400MR Series has built-in POTS splitter that helps the voice over telephone and network data to transmit at the same wire without being interrupted.

Power Redundant
The VC-2400MR Series supports the optional hot-swappable Redundant Power System (RPS) to ensure continuous operation. The VC-2400MR equips with one 100~240V AC power supply unit and the VC-2400MR48 equips with one DC -48V power supply unit on their standard package. To enhance the reliability, both the VC-2400MR and VC-2400MR48 provide one spare power supply unit slot for optional 100~240V AC or DC -48V redundant power supply installation. The continuous power systems are specifically designed to handle high tech facilities requiring the highest power integrity available. Also, the -48V DC power supply implemented makes the VC-2400MR Series VDSL2 Switch as a telecom level device that can be located at the electronic room.


Temperature and FAN Status Monitoring
The Managed VDSL2 Switch is equipped with temperature senor and cooling fans to ensure reliable operation. Whenever there is abnormal temperature detected or cooling fan service stops, the Managed VDSL2 Switch would display related information on the Web management interface. Overview

The PLANET 802.11n Wireless VDSL2 Router, VC-230N, applies 2T2R MIMO antenna technology and provides office and residential users the ideal solution for sharing a high-speed VDSL2 broadband connection and four-10/100Mbps Fast Ethernet backbone. The VC-230N is developed with three core networking technologies: IEEE 802.11b/g/n, Ethernet and VDSL2 (Very High Speed Digital Subscriber Line 2). Via VDSL 2 technology, the VC-230N offers very high performance access to Internet, up to 100Mbps for both downstream and upstream data transmission. VDSL2 offers the absolute fastest data transmission speed over existing copper telephone lines without the need for rewiring.

The VC-230N complies with ITU-T G993.2 standard and provides two modes for network applications – Bridge and Router. With built-in IEEE 802.11b/g and 802.11n wireless network capability, the VC-230N allows any computer and wireless-enabled network device connect to it without additional cabling. 802.11n Draft 2.0 wireless capability brings users the highest speed of wireless experience ever; the data transmission rate can be as high as 300Mbps. The radio coverage is also doubled to offer high speed wireless connection even in wide space at your office or house.

To secure wireless communication, the VC-230N supports most up-to-date encryption, WEP, WPA-PSK and WPA2-PSK. Moreover, the VC-230N supports WPS configuration with PBC/PIN type for users easily connect to a secured wireless network.

There are two selectable VDSL2 operating modes of VC-230N: CO and CPE, which can be adjusted by Web UI. Users can setup Point-to-Point application by connecting two VC-230N, in which one in CO mode and another one in CPE mode, to transmit data in high speed between two networks over existing copper telephone lines.

The VC-230N provides user-friendly management interface to be managed easily through standard web browsers. For networking management features, the VC-230N not only provides basic router functions such as DHCP server, Virtual Server, DMZ, QoS, and UPnP, but also provides full firewall functions including Network Address Translation (NAT), IP/Port/MAC Filtering and Content Filtering. Furthermore, the VC-230N serves as an Internet firewall to protect your network from being accessed by unauthorized users.

The PLANET VC-234 is an Ethernet-over-VDSL2 Bridge with high performance. It is designed based on two core networking technology, Ethernet and VDSL2 (Very-high-data-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2). The VDSL2 technology offers absolutely fastest data transmission speed over existing copper telephone lines without the need of rewiring. The VC-234 supports ultra-high performance to the pervasive telephone line network with up to 100/100Mbps symmetric data rate within 300m and 20/4Mbps for 1.4km long range connections.


Implements with Existing Telephone Copper Wires
The VC-234 is also a Long Reach Ethernet (LRE) Bridge providing four RJ-45 Ethernet ports and two RJ-11 phone jacks, in which one is for VDSL connection and the other one is for POTS (Plain Old Telephone Service) connection. The VC-234 has built-in POTS splitter to share the existing phone line with POTS; therefore it is no need of replacing the existing copper wiring. Just plug the VC-234 into the existing RJ-11 telephone jack and a high-performance VDSL2 network can be connected. The VC-234 is ideal to be used as an Ethernet extender to an existing Ethernet network.

Easy & Flexible Installation
The Ethernet-over-VDSL2 Bridge is plug-and-play design and fully compatible with all kinds of network protocols. Moreover, the operating status of each individual port and the whole system can be watched via the rich diagnostic LEDs on the front panel. The VC-234 offers two modes, CPE and CO, for application: CPE mode is used at client side and CO mode is at central side. The CPE or CO mode can be adjusted by using a built-in DIP switch. For point-to-point connection, a CPE mode VC-234 and a CO mode VC-234 must be setup as one pair of converters to perform the connection.

Provides Superior Upstream and Downstream Transmission Performance
The VC-234 also defines symmetric band plan for the transmission of upstream and downstream signals; the band plan performs higher transmission quality in short range for central side (CO) in symmetric mode. Overview

100/100Mbps Downstream / upstream, high Performance Ethernet over VDSL Solution
The PLANET VC-231 is an Ethernet-over-VDSL2 Converter with high performance. It is designed based on two core networking technology, Ethernet and VDSL2 (Very-high-data-rate Digital Subscriber Line 2). The VDSL2 technology offers absolutely fastest data transmission speed over existing copper telephone lines without the need of rewiring. The VC-231 supports ultra-high performance to the pervasive telephone line network with up to 100/100Mbps symmetric data rate within 300m and 50/2Mbps for 1.4km long range connections.

Implements with Existing Telephone Copper Wires
The VC-231 is also a Long Reach Ethernet (LRE) converter providing one RJ-45 Ethernet port and one RJ-11 phone jack that is for VDSL2 connection. By using the additional Splitter from package of VC-231, the splitter can provide POTS splitter to share the existing phone line with POTS; therefore it is no need of replacing the existing copper wiring. Just plug the VC-231 with additional splitter into the existing RJ-11 telephone jack and a high-performance VDSL2 network can be connected. The VC-231 is ideal to be used as an Ethernet extender to an existing Ethernet network.

Delivers High-Demand Service Connectivity for ISP / Triple Play Devices
The VC-231 provides excellent bandwidth to satisfy the triple play devices for home entertainment and communication. With the capability of 100/100Mbps symmetric data transmission, the VC-231 enables many Multi-Media services to work on local Internet, such as VOD (Video on Demand), Voice over IP, Video phone, IPTV, Internet caching server, distance education, and so on.

Easy & Flexible Installation
The Ethernet-over-VDSL2 Converter is plug-and-play design and fully compatible with all kinds of network protocols. Moreover, the operating status of each individual port and the whole system can be watched via the rich diagnostic LEDs on the front panel. The VC-231 offers two modes, CPE and CO, for application: CPE mode is used at client side and CO mode is at central side. The CPE or CO mode can be adjusted by using a built-in DIP switch. For point-to-point connection, a CPE mode VC-231 and a CO mode VC-231 must be setup as one pair of converters to perform the connection.

Provides Superior Upstream and Downstream Transmission Performance
The VC-231 also defines symmetric band plan for the transmission of upstream and downstream signals, the band plan performs higher transmission quality in short range for central side (CO) in symmetric mode. In all, when the VC-231 is in profile 17a operation mode, it provides long distance transmit with Ultra-high performance to the pervasive telephone line network, and when the VC-231 is in 30a operation mode, it gives short distance transmits with upstream and downstream transmission giving wire speed performance.

Two VC-231 acting as a standalone pair is good for Ethernet distance extension over existing telephone wires. With just one pair of AWG-24 copper wire, you can easily connect two Ethernet networks together with the data rate of maximum 100/100Mbps. With the additional splitter, the telephone service can still be used while the VC-231 CO/CPE is in operation. The two solutions listed below are typical applications for the Ethernet over VDSL2 Converter.
